WILLIAM TAGATZ MEMORIAL

On August 29, 2026 we celebrated the completion of the park/picnic area at the church in memory of William Tagatz. Bill donated funds to help us do some restoring of buildings in Germania, namely the Germania School and the Methodist Church which is our headquarters. We are very grateful to him and wanted to show our appreciation so we built a small picnic area in the front yard of the church for anyone to use. A flag pole was placed there along with a granite stone with a plate on it to commemorate the occasion in honor of Bill. Nine members of the Tagatz family traveled to Germania along with a few that live in the area. It rained a little but the Tagatz family members still  took a historical tour of Germania on Mike Vosen's tractor & wagon while Kevin DeCramer gave the history. A special cake and refreshments were enjoyed by all after the dedication. Missy Heller wrote and read the dedication & appreciation.
